Logging in to the Bootable CD

After bootup, the Bootable CD will prompt you to login. It gives you a hint... it says "Login as root". When it says "login:" you type "root" followed by and you are then logged in.

The prompt for commands tells you the computer name (plac) the current user ID (root) and the current directory (/root). As you do things like changing directories (cd /etc/) this prompt will change to reflect the new situation.

For help, type "help". This will list the commands provided on the Bootable CD distribution that are most likely to be used soon after bootup or are special capabilities provided in this distribution. For help on a Linux command, type "help " where is the name of the command you want help on.
