The DOC IT Security program complies fully with all federal laws, regulations and directives and communicates uniform policies for the protection and control of IT resources directly or indirectly relating to the activities of the Department.
The purpose of this chapter is to define all policies and responsibilities for the establishment, implementation, maintenance and oversight of the IT security program within the Department, for the protection and control of vital DOC IT resources. Basic elements of the Department's IT security program requirements will be identified in relation to assigned responsibilities.
