Per the message sent by Ozair:

I have to agree with Ozair that most of the defacements are oriented
toward perception management and - to date - appear to be rather
ameturish and more like pranks than like warfare, but this is not to
say that they are not part of the conflict.

I take a broad view of the subject, but I also think that it would be
fruitful for folks on this list to provide information on other aspects
of information warfare from other parts of the world. The postings that
I put up are designed to help stimulate conversation across a range of
topics and geographical areas. The Middle East focus stems from more
participation from those interested in this conflict. There are many
other conflicts ongoing in the world and there is certainly a large
information element to each of those conflicts as well.

I encourage others on the list to focus in on other conflicts and
regions and to provide content that would drive the discourse toward
things they are interested in.
