I think bin Laden had intended to use 2048-bit RSA over triple-DES,
but when he couldn't get strong crypto applications from the US
due to export restrictions, he settled for 40-bit encryption and
rot-13 over ig-pay atin-lay.  [and then ... I woke up.]
