Foreword:  I'm not disparaging the poster of this article.  It is a nice
example, though, of poorly-written psy-ops :)

HEADLINE:  Law enforcement say criminals using automobiles as getaway cars.
Telephone technologies employed in phone scams. 

This article reads like a collection of sound-byte non-sequitors.

Unlike the spread of previous technologies such as telnet, ftp, e-mail, and
those ubiquitous web-cookies, which afford hackers no such venues.

Fascinating ... if you've just awoken from a 30 year coma.

Ergo, it should dismay members of "aboveground" communities?  Or am I
simply reading too much innuendo into that piece of news?
