Computer Security...
The term security means "A feeling of safety"
The term protection means "Keeping from harm"
The term warfare is generally associated with high intensity conflict.

Computers are generally artificial devices intended to perform computations.
Information is symbolic representation - in the general sense.

Informaiton warfare would tend toward the use of sybols in high intensity conflict.
Computer security would tend toward the feeling that your computations are safe.

They don't seem all that closely related to me...

This was discussed at substantial length in the original iwar list some
year ago... We can go through it again if the members so desire...
