Today there was a hearing on US-China relations-actually a hearing at
which members of a commission, some of whom are the best China
Scholors in the nation spoke before a Senate Panel- and IWAR was
discussed a great deal. This was not a lame brained bunch of "Made up
specialists" that Bush is using these days. The guys are the real
deal.

The most important comment came when one of them mentioned the fact
that the Chinese Government is encourging a "Take Home War". Use your
PC's, or take your laptops home and hack-for those who have them. The
specific language is consistant with Chinese thinking and I saw
something in a Bejing paper-in Chinese that said -"let the 10, 000
flowers bloom". 10,000 is a number with cultural significance that
boils down to-let all who have PC's , or a laptop go home and hack.
They have done some of it in an organized manner with PLA trained IWAR
troops. Michael Pillsbury-major china scholor- mentioned this and was
on the commission, all of whom were at today's hearing. It will most
likely be rebroadcast on CSPAN 3. Take a look.
