Along with that, I heard announcements from the NTSB/FAA that increased surveillance and ID checks at airports would be put in place, curbside checkin eliminated, etc. This is the second incident in which increased security has been put in place that would not have mitigated the threat encountered. The last one was the 747 out of New York that blew up - apparently an accident.
