Another thought here - even on a conservative estimate of the number of
casualties we are still looking at TEN TIMES more dead than occurred at
Pearl Harbor (<3000). I remember my parents reaction to the Japanese even
after the war, and let us not forget our nuclear response. I feel that this
has the potential to be the greatest threat to tactical nuclear war since
day one - I have to check what the countdown clock to nuclear destruction is
now set at (does anybody remember the URL?) .
