They are pointed and could be used to hurt people... I think we need to realize that "weapons" _will_ get onto flights. What is needed is a way to cope with these. IMHO it could be very effective to deputdize trust people and supply them with arms (pepper spray, mace, at the very least - with some maybe guns...).
