According to Hizbullah sources, all Israeli settlements now fall under surveillance for any sudden deployment of fighters along the border from the occupied Shebaa Farms in the East to Naqoura in the West. Some of the new cameras have been installed at the Fatima Gate and along all of Adaisseh Road, allowing visual coverage of Israeli settlements close to the Bint Jbeil district. The sources said that this system has been effective in keeping the enemy, including settlers and border area workers, under constant check without armed Hizbullah fighters coming into open areas. The cameras, unaffected by weather or Israeli-caused electronic interference, will record any unusual Israeli activity or equipment and keep all main roads, which could be used for infiltration, under surveillance. The cameras, complete with nighttime lighting system, swing 180 degrees in such a way that while one camera swings in one direction, the next one fills the gap created by the first. The expanded system is connected by both wire and wireless networks. The data collected from all cameras is brought together in one control room, where staff relay any unusual information to Hizbullah branch control centers along the border. Hizbullah officials have expressed belief that the present regional and international situation requires such electronic surveillance equipment.
