We note that very few have challenged our facts, some have challenged our patriotism, and others question our Christianity, raising the familiar Anti-Semitism mantra. We need your help, so we are answering your comments to Day911. Our fight against needless killing started a decade ago, but we have not become steeled to it, we also get angry. We try to focused on preventing more death, rather than bemoaning that which we can do nothing about. In future months the fate of hundreds of thousands, perhaps millions of God's creation could be at risk. We fully expect more innocent people to be killed in the near future, this time by Americans. We are amazed at the number of people who call themselves by Christ's name and who say they want vengence. To all these we ask, how you do explain the following passage from the Sermon on the Mount. : YE HAVE HEARD THAT IT HATH BEEN SAID, AN EYE FOR AN EYE, AND A TOOTH FOR A TOOTH: BUT I SAY UNTO YOU, THAT YE RESIST NOT EVIL: BUT WHOSOEVER SHALL SMITE THEE ON THY RIGHT CHEEK, TURN TO HIM THE OTHER ALSO. AND IF ANY MAN WILL SUE THEE AT THE LAW, AND TAKE AWAY THY COAT, LET HIM HAVE [THY] CLOAK ALSO. AND WHOSOEVER SHALL COMPEL THEE TO GO A MILE, GO WITH HIM TWAIN. Jesus Christ, Matthew 5:38-41 As a predominantly Christian organization, we will not stand silently by and accept what we perceive to be anti-Christian acts from public servants--even the President of the United States, and especially from any who claim to be Christians. The now-stated policy of our government is to grant the President the authority to seek retribution that will surely be carried out at the direction of much the same people who conducted the Gulf War. Our leaders, while weeping on stage, are capitalizing on a tragedy of human agony in our country, in order to promote the anti-Christian objective of a massive war against millions of people--most of whom will be innocent of any crimes--in a half dozen countries that have already been named, and others that have not. The message is "an eye for an eye." We are clarifying our positions on key statements we made in the hope that this will eliminate any misunderstanding. Please feel free to comment further or ask questions, if we do not make ourselves clear. WE STATED OUR PURPOSE: "Our purpose at We Hold These Truths is to place the guilt squarely on the guilty. Only if we do that can we prevent a recurrence in America and in some other way. The only alternative to our proposal is a police state in which all must surrender freedom in exchange for protection from an ever-bigger government. We will need an armed guard on every plane and a metal detector at every door, and still we will not be safe." WE ASKED THE QUESTION, WHY DO MUSLIMS WORLD WIDE HATE OUR GOVERNMENT (NOT THE AMERICAN PEOPLE) SO MUCH? "Why were a dozen or more young men willing to dash themselves to death against our concrete and steel banking centers on Day911? Why did others willingly blow themselves to bits to punch a hole in the Warship USS Cole?" WE ADD THIS NOTE: anyone who attempts to solve a crime, much less prevent one, must first find the motive of the criminal. Without motive there is no logic, only insanity and more crime. Our media and our leaders never allow the "motive" question, "why do these people hate us" to be considered. Have you, dear Christian, considered that question? WE STATED OUR SUSPICION OF OUR POLITICAL LEADERS AND SUGGESTED THEY SOMETIMES LIE: "If we leave it to our political leaders, most of whom fear the Israeli power structure far more than they fear the voters, we will never know the truth." WE PREDICTED (ACCURATELY) OUR P0LITICAL LEADERS' RESPONSE: "We expect the U.S. political machine to respond immediately with demands for retaliation against Arab nations who are Israel's enemies, for it alone has made Israel's enemies our enemies." WE STATED THAT PALESTINIANS HAVE A MOTIVE TO HATE OUR GOVERNMENT: "Palestinian civilians have died every week of the year for 52 years! In the last year, Palestinians have seen about 500 of their civilians killed by Israelis using American weapons (some still bearing 'U.S.' markings), including Abrams tanks, Apache helicopters and US sniper rifles." WE STATED THAT IRAQIS HAVE A MOTIVE TO HATE THE AMERICAN GOVERNMENT: "The US bombed Iraq the day before the fateful Day911, inflicting more casualties." WE STATED THAT THE ARABS ARE ISRAEL'S ENEMIES, NOT OURS: "Except for the American people, the entire world knows about America's secret war on Israel's enemies." WE STATED THAT THE WORLD TRADE CENTER IS A CENTER OF WORLD BANKING: "The international banks that office in NYC are among those who fund the wars, and Arabs know it." WE LISTED COUNTRIES, BOTH MUSLIM AND NON-MUSLIM RULED, THAT HAVE BEEN VICTIMIZED BY OUR GOVERNMENT, EITHER BY ATTACK OR ECONOMIC SANCTIONS: "---Afghanistan, Iraq and Palestine with Israeli personnel and US weapons; Iran by US support for Iraq in an eight-year war against Iran; Kosovo and Bosnia, where graves are still being found; and Somalia, Sudan, Libya, Algeria, Chechnya, Indonesia and more. The US also bombed Serbia for 80 days. Other non-Muslim victims have included Rhodesia, South Africa, Nicaragua, Haiti, Panama and more." WE PREDICTED THAT OUR CONGRESS WOULD CALL FOR WAR AGAINST CIVILIANS: "Already our ignoble Congressmen are calling for escalation of the war against the innocent populations of yet-to-be-named Arab countries." WE OFFERED A SOLUTION, CALLING FOR AN END TO EXISTING WARS: "We must end our own acts of war against Arab populations, and, for that matter, against all other people who are not our immediate concern." WE CALLED FOR AN END TO FOREIGN AID TO ISRAEL AND ALL OTHERS: "We cannot do this without stopping all aid of any kind to Israel, Egypt and any other countries." WE STATED THAT ALL GUILTY PARTIES SHOULD BE PUNISHED UNDER OUR LAWS: "If Americans were involved in the bombings on Day911, there are legal means to deal with them, and this should be done." (ADDED NOTE; if foreign residents are found to be involved their extradition should be demanded, but they should not be assassinated by Americans. To do so is against our law. Americans should be told what the evidence against these foreigners, such as Bin Laden, consists of. This is not being provided) WE DENOUNCED RETRIBUTION AGAINST INNOCENT POPULATIONS: "But continuing to kill and starve the mothers and children of Arabs in other countries, as our government has done in the past, will simply convince the world that they are correct about the great bully." WE STATED THAT THERE IS A COST TO BE PAID FOR EVIL ACTS BY OUR GOVERNMENT: "and insure that Americans will again have to pay for the evil acts of our government." WE STATED THAT WE NOW FACE A FINANCIAL CRISIS: "America faces the worst economic crisis in 70 years." WE ADD THIS NOTE: Now on Day911+6, the implications of that financial crisis are already taking shape. Every business and family is at risk. Already one airline has closed, and others predict bankruptcy, not because people are afraid to fly, but because our government will not allow them to fly. FAA restrictions are deemed impossible by airline officials, who ARE ALREADY PREDICTING THAT THE RESTRICTIONS PLACED ON US WILL BANKRUPT THE INDUSTRY. Congress is in the act of appropriating 40 billion dollars to clean up New York's financial center, taking Wall Street's insurance companies off the hook by calling this suicide mission "an act of War," all at the expense of taxpayers. War by whom? No one can challenge American war power? No, we need to get back to business, not back to war, we have already done that. Dear Christian friend, please tell me WHICH OF THE ABOVE STATEMENTS IS UNTRUE, AND WHY ANY ONE OF THEM SHOULD AROUSE SUSPICIONS about We Hold These Truths' motives or patriotism? Before Christmas 1990, when George W. Bush's father started his campaign to sell the Gulf War to Americans, this author wrote in protest and sent a detailed letter to hundreds of church leaders and friends. Some of you received this letter. HERE IS THE FINAL PARAGRAPH, DATED THE DAY AFTER CHRISTMAS, 1990: "MAY GOD FORGIVE US AMERICAN CITIZENS IF, BY OUR INACTION, WE ALLOW GENOCIDE AGAINST MUSLIM WOMEN AND CHILDREN AND SACRIFICE EVEN ONE OF OUR OWN CHILDREN. THE AVERAGE AMERICAN CITIZEN CANNOT EVEN RECOGNIZE THE NAME OF THE DEPOSED KING OF KUWAIT (Emir Shakh Jabiral Hakad al Jobar as Sabah) OR NAME A SINGLE REASON WHY WE SHOULD SACRIFICE AMERICAN BOYS TO PUT HIM BACK IN POWER. PLEASE WRITE YOUR CONGRESSMAN BEFORE JANUARY 15, 1991, AND SAY 'NO WAR'" Sadly, I was right. A few Americans died in the Gulf slaughter, but sadly, the many who died on Day911 were forced to pay the price for the half million or more civilian Iraqis who died. The former Bush Administration, the Clinton Administration, and the G.W. Bush Administration have all bombed and starved Iraq. Had we stayed out of other people's wars, there would have been no Day911, for there would have been no motive for he bombing! Shame on the war-making Bush family, and on Mr. Chaney, and Mr. Powell, remember them, they were all part of the original Gulf War machine. Only Christians can prevent a repetition. Five years ago, with the help of others, We Hold These Truths was born, to "tell the truth." I believe we have done that about Day911. We are not insensitive to other peoples' grief over death and injury to loved ones. We are a pro-life organization. We have fought for and cried over the death of Christ's smallest human creature or any race. And do not forgive our unrepentant leaders for bringing this suffering upon those who died and those who will die. We demand that our political leaders ACT like Christians, whatever they choose to believe. There is no time to mince words. We demand that you, our Christian leaders, including you critics of WHTT, act like Christ and oppose this pending world wide assassination project called a "war". If you are a professing Christian, especially a leader, and you cannot stand on the truth, we are sorry for you. But Jesus does not excuse "an eye for an eye."
